Testing / Complete Hormone Panel
Hashimoto's · Hypothyroid · T3 Optimization
Standard bloodwork tests TSH and stops there. TSH tells you the pituitary is signalling — not whether the thyroid is converting, whether antibodies are attacking it, or whether reverse T3 is blocking cellular function. This panel answers all of it.

Why it matters
01
Anti-TPO antibodies become elevated years before TSH rises out of range. Standard bloodwork misses this entire pre-clinical phase. This panel identifies Hashimoto's at the earliest detectable point — when intervention is most effective.
02
The thyroid can produce adequate T4 while conversion to active T3 is impaired. TSH remains normal — the pituitary is satisfied. But cellular function is hypothyroid. Free T3 identifies this; TSH alone misses it entirely.
03
Elevated RT3 competes with T3 at the cellular receptor — producing fatigue, weight gain, cold intolerance, and brain fog despite 'optimal' TSH and T4. RT3 elevation occurs in response to stress, caloric restriction, and inflammatory states.

Hashimoto's and perimenopause co-occur — both peak in the same decade. Testing both panels gives your physician the full hormonal and autoimmune picture.
Common questions
Yes. The majority of patients with undiagnosed Hashimoto's, low free T3, or elevated reverse T3 have normal TSH. Standard bloodwork is a poor screen for thyroid dysfunction beyond overt pathology. This panel is specifically designed to identify the patterns TSH misses.
Elevated anti-TPO confirms autoimmune thyroid disease (Hashimoto's thyroiditis). It does not necessarily mean you need medication now — but it means your thyroid function requires monitoring, dietary and lifestyle intervention (selenium, gluten reduction), and documentation as an ongoing clinical consideration.
Yes. Physician-ordered diagnostic testing is HSA and FSA eligible. At a 32% bracket, effective cost is approximately $170.
