My TSH is normal but I have thyroid symptoms — can this panel still find something?

Yes. The majority of patients with undiagnosed Hashimoto's, low free T3, or elevated reverse T3 have normal TSH. Standard bloodwork is a poor screen for thyroid dysfunction beyond overt pathology. This panel is specifically designed to identify the patterns TSH misses.

What does a positive anti-TPO result mean?

Elevated anti-TPO confirms autoimmune thyroid disease (Hashimoto's thyroiditis). It does not necessarily mean you need medication now — but it means your thyroid function requires monitoring, dietary and lifestyle intervention (selenium, gluten reduction), and documentation as an ongoing clinical consideration.
